Cross window, Billy Graham Library
The most striking element of the Billy Graham Library is a huge glass window in the shape of a cross. This was tricky to photograph, as I had to deal with inside and outside light as well as differing white balance effects. I shot a series of images using the A350's automatic bracketing feature. I could have used more differential in the highlights and shadows, but that would have required shooting in the manual mode and since I wasn't using tripod, I was afraid I wouldn't get the camera back in the right location after making adjustments. I used a HDR program to assemble the image series into a HDR Tiff which was imported into Lightroom for final adjustments.
